Eileen
Assistant Group Scout Leader (Adult Support) & Group Scout Active Support Manager
I was never involved in Scouts as a kid, until a few years ago in an administrative role and soon realised the benefits and opportunities that being a Scout offers to young people, and the enjoyment of the adults involved. I love organising events whether it’s a Group Fun Day or a parents evening, or putting together and launching the Groups website. I support the adults in whatever way is needed. We have just introduced a Group Scout Active Support Unit for any adult wanting to volunteer as much or as little of their time as they can give. It’s for adults who have skills or want to develop their expertise to support the Group.
