One thing we constantly get asked is: So, how much do you get paid for doing this??? In fact, the 1st Hainault Scout Group, just like every other Scout Group is a charity run by volunteers. Our adults do not get paid for the time that they give! Each year we will pay a large amount of money in membership fees to The Scout Association to remain part of it.
We do what we do in return for seeing the development of young people in the Hainault area and because we enjoy what we do. We give our time but would not be able to provide our members with the fun and adventurous activities that we do without your help. As well as providing activities and events for our young members and young adults, we also have a number of bills to pay, building and grounds to maintain, tents and other camping equipment to buy and a re-development plan which costs money.
There are many ways in which you can support the1st Hainault Scout Group and many may be simpler than you think.
Online Donation
The Group has set up a CharityGiving account for donations. This will be the easiest way of supporting the development of our Scout Group. Whether you can give a little or a lot, every penny makes a difference.
CharityGiving is a site run by a UK charity with 27 years experience in the fundraising world. They will increase your giving by up to 28% by claiming Gift Aid tax for UK taxpayers tax-effective donating to charity is now so easy!
