Fundraising can be lots of fun for those organising the event and for those attending. The Group Executive Committee has a team focused solely on fundraising. Fundraising in the local community of Hainault may help us to gain volunteers. Why not get involved and offer your support to the Fundraising Team. The Committee is responsible for;
Develop an annual fundraising plan which will generate the funds as requested by the Group Executive Committee;
Initiate and deliver fundraising activities and events;
Develop and coordinate corporate sponsorship;
To present a regular report to the Group Executive Committee;
Prepare annual calendar of social functions, events and activities; and
Encourage parental interaction and networking.
The Team is made up of parents and supporters of the Group and is chaired by Catherine Newbigging, who is also a member of the Group Executive Committee. Its primary aim is to raise funds to run the Group. Our leaders are left then to focus on what they should be and that is running a balanced programme. It organises fund raising activities and manages Grant Applications in order to support the running of the Groups needs. You can see who is a member of this team by going to our Group Structure page. If you are interested in getting involved why note send us your details using our contact form.
It is envisaged that the rest of the team will be made up for parents, and people who have previously been involved in the Group.
As members of this sub-committee are providing Active Support to the Group, they are members of the 1st Hainault Group Scout Active Support Unit. If you feel that you have a skill or interest that would be relevant to this sub-committee and would like to get involved, then why not join us in our adventure.
Details of our events are published in the Upcoming Events Calendar and reports and photos will be published on our site shortly after the event. The Group aims to be proactive in organising fund raising events and involves not just the Group but also the local community and businesses.
