Since 2007, over 4,00 Scout Group have recieved over £1.8 million worth of equipment and Active Kids 2011 is now up and running.
Sainsbury's Active Kids scheme was launced in 2005, to help try and tackle the continued national debate surrounding childhood obesity and the Governments psh to increase physical activity in children. Since it started, over 32,000 youth insitutions and organisations have shared in £86 million worth of equipment and experiences. In 2009 alone, Scouts across the U.K. had a great year benefitted from a share over £505,000!
In 2009, you collected over 2000 vouchers and we were able to provide the Group with many new items, including new Walkie Talkies and First Aid Kits.
Last year we had over 3000 which we rolled over this year.
So how does Active Kids work?
Active Kids is now back for 2011 and vouchers are available now until 31 May 2011. You earn 1 Active Kids voucher for ever £10 spent at any main Sainsbury's store, including groceries online and at Sainsbury's petrol stations.
All you have to do is collect vouchers for the 1st Hainault Scout Group and leave them in the box in the hallway of The Stockade. It's easy! Ask other members of your family, friends and work colleagues to get involved and to help provide even more equipment to the Group in 2011!
