Latest Events
AGM Group Camp - NEW DATE - 17th/18th July 2010 at Thriftwood Scout Campsite. Two campsite and indoor accommodation for the Beavers to sleepover were been booked. Parents, siblings and friends joined for the day and took part in the activities. A full report is coming soon.
Open Evening - Date to be confirmed.
Group Conference - July 2010 - following the first Re-Development Conference in March, we will be holding a second meeting towards the end of June for all Group Members to join in the discussions.
Gilwell Reunion - 3/5 September - More information coming soon.
Church Parade - September "Harvest Festival" - St. Francis of Assisi Church, Barkingside, 10:15am. Be there for 10:00am.
JOTA/JOTI - 16/17 October 2010. In conjunction with the Loughton & Epping Forest Amateur Radio Society, the Group will be staging a second, annual, Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) station (GB1HS). Visit our JOTA page for more information.
Group Executive Meetings - At the AGM on 17th July, a new Group Executive Committee was formed. Their first meeting will be held on Tuesday 17th August, 7:00pm at The Stockade. If you are interested in joining the Group Executive Committee, please let us know via out Contact Us page.

The 1st Hainault Scout Group welcomes you to its website. We hope that you will find all of the information that you need in just the click of a button. This website aims to provide information to its current members, parents and guardians and prospective members as well as other organisations wishing to get involved or use our facilities.
For youth members, you can find out information about our different sections using the links on the bottom of each page. For adults who cannot give a weekly commitment to Scouting we also have information on our Group Scout Active Support Unit - the first in our District! You can find information about the Group Executive Committee and keep up to date with the Social and Fundraising events we have planned and the re-development of our HQ. Whatever your need, there is something for you.
If at the end of it, you want your child to join our Group, simply complete the Youth Members Join Us form and someone will be in touch. If you are an adult and want to get involved you can Contact Us for more information or click on the Join Us link to explore the roles available.

Annual Report for 2009/10 is now available.
Active Kids 2010 - Many thanks to those of you who have collected vouchers for us. We will let you know shortly how many have been collected this year.
Beavers - The Group re-opened its Beaver Scout Colony back in January and it now has 12 Members. If you know of any young people aged between 5 and 3/4 and 8 years of age, let them know about us!
Awareness Campaign - Did you see our leaflet? Members of the Group handed out approximately 650 leaflets to the people of Hainault to help raise the local profile of the Group. This will be followed up by an Open Day later in the year. Many thanks to those who helped!

Group Scout Active Support Unit - Did you know that the 1st Hainault Group Scout Active Support Unit was the first to be set up in the whole of the U.K.! Active Support is a way for people to get involved on a flexible basis. The Unit has 5 key area - Social and Fundraising; Building and Grounds; PR and Communications and, Quartermaster and Skills. Want to be part of it? Just ask!
